Yitzhak Rabin: March 1, 1922 – March 1, 2022

The centennial provides us, as the national center for commemorating the life of Yitzhak Rabin, a rare opportunity to celebrate: to be happy and not mourn, to engage in hope and not missed chances, to not the beginning and not the end.

For the centennial event, we have chosen to renew the performance of three songs that Yitzchak Rabin loved, each of which has been granted new and up-to-date arrangements in duets that reflect the nuances of Israeli society. The project symbolizes the desire to create listening and connections, two goals we have strived toward throughout the years.

“Koolunu Yeledim shel Hachaim” [We’re all children of life] written by Shalom Hanoch in a duet performed by Hatikva 6 and Valerie Hamati.

“Achshav hator laAhava” [Now it’s a turn for love], written and composed by Uzi Hitman in an emotional duet performed by Itay Levy and Narkis.

And “Hashir Shiyavi Lecha Ahava” [The song that will bring you love] of Leah Shabbat, in a joint performance by Gali Atari and the Lehakat Hanachal.
